Graphic Design

As a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, I create digital and print communications for the nonprofit sector,  the publishing industry, and various creative agencies. With several decades of experience from concept to production, I have a sophisticated design sense and a strong attention to detail. I enjoy partnering with clients and creative teams to produce our best work.

Seasons Booklet 
Below are samples from a small perfect-bound book that guests received at the Fetzer Institute’s onsite retreat center, Seasons: A Center for Renewal. The author, Parker Palmer, reflects on nature’s seasons both as a physical fact and as a metaphor for our lives. I designed the Seasons logo and book and created the illustrations.

Logos
With a BFA in graphic design, I spent years learning the nuances of letter forms and how they relate to each other. From products to services,  from playful to corporate, below are some samples of logos I’ve developed. 

Typography by Hand
As an illustrator and creator of children’s books, I love hand drawn and/or painted  typography. I created this art with Procreate on an iPad or with traditional media such as watercolor and ink.
